About Sudsies
What is Sudsies?
Sudsies is a luxury garment care company specializing in the professional cleaning, restoration, preservation, and maintenance of fine clothing, couture fashion, wedding gowns, household textiles, and other specialty items. Founded in 1996, Sudsies combines advanced garment care technology with meticulous craftsmanship to help extend the life of the world's finest wardrobes. Unlike traditional dry cleaners that focus primarily on cleaning garments, Sudsies provides comprehensive wardrobe care. Every garment is individually inspected before cleaning, processed according to its fabric, construction, embellishments, and care requirements, and carefully finished before being returned to the guest. Services include complimentary pickup and delivery throughout much of South Florida, allowing guests to enjoy professional garment care without disrupting their schedules. For many guests, Sudsies serves as a trusted wardrobe care partner rather than simply a dry cleaner. Whether caring for everyday business attire, couture fashion, bridal gowns, or treasured heirloom textiles, the company's goal is to preserve the appearance, longevity, and value of every item entrusted to its care.
Where is Sudsies located?
Sudsies operates five boutiques throughout South Florida, conveniently located in North Miami, Miami Beach, the Miami Design District, Fort Lauderdale, and Boca Raton. In addition to boutique services, Sudsies provides complimentary pickup and delivery throughout much of Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Martin counties, with service extending from Florida City in the south to Hobe Sound in the north. Guests may visit any Sudsies boutique for garment drop-off, pickup, alterations, fittings, or personalized garment care consultations. Many guests, however, prefer the convenience of scheduled pickup and delivery, allowing garments to be collected from and returned to their home, condominium, office, or another approved location. Because Sudsies maintains an extensive pickup and delivery network across South Florida, many guests enjoy the benefits of professional garment care without ever needing to visit a boutique. Whether you prefer the personalized experience of an in-boutique visit or the convenience of doorstep service, Sudsies offers multiple ways to care for your wardrobe.
Which areas does Sudsies serve?
Sudsies proudly serves many of South Florida's most prestigious communities throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Regular pickup and delivery routes include communities such as Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Pinecrest, Hobe Sound, Key Biscayne, Bal Harbour, Fisher Island, Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas, Boca Raton, Palm Beach, Weston, Wellington, and many surrounding neighborhoods. Service is also available to numerous luxury condominium residences, gated communities, country clubs, executive offices, hotels, and private residences. If you are unsure whether your address falls within a current service area, our Guest Services team can quickly verify availability and help schedule your first pickup.
How long has Sudsies been in business?
Sudsies was founded in 1996 and has served South Florida for more than three decades. Throughout that time, the company has built its reputation by combining exceptional craftsmanship with attentive hospitality and personalized guest service. Thousands of South Florida households have entrusted Sudsies with everything from everyday professional attire to couture fashion, wedding gowns, heirloom garments, and specialty textiles. Although garment care technology continues to evolve, Sudsies remains committed to the same guiding principle that has defined the company since its founding: every garment deserves thoughtful, individualized care.
What makes Sudsies different from other dry cleaners?
Sudsies approaches garment care differently than many traditional dry cleaners by treating each garment as a unique piece rather than processing clothing through a standardized cleaning system. Before cleaning begins, trained specialists inspect every garment to identify fabric composition, construction methods, embellishments, stains, areas of wear, manufacturer care instructions, and any concerns noted by the guest. That information helps determine the most appropriate cleaning and finishing process for each individual item. In addition to expert garment care, Sudsies offers complimentary pickup and delivery, professional alterations, couture garment cleaning, wedding gown preservation, household textile care, leather and suede cleaning, restoration services, and personalized wardrobe care. The combination of craftsmanship, hospitality, and convenience allows guests to entrust nearly every aspect of their wardrobe maintenance to a single experienced team.
Why do you call your customers "guests"?
At Sudsies, we believe exceptional garment care must be accompanied by exceptional hospitality. Referring to our customers as "guests" reflects our commitment to providing an experience that feels more personal, attentive, and welcoming than a typical retail transaction. Every interaction, whether scheduling a pickup, discussing alterations, or returning freshly cleaned garments, is intended to reflect the same level of care and professionalism guests might expect from a luxury hotel or concierge service. This philosophy influences how we communicate, how we solve problems, and how we build long-term relationships. The word "guest" reminds our entire team that earning trust requires more than cleaning garments well. It requires listening carefully, anticipating needs, and consistently delivering thoughtful service.

Is Sudsies locally owned?
Yes. Sudsies is a locally owned South Florida company that has proudly served the region since 1996. As a locally operated business, Sudsies understands the unique lifestyle, climate, and wardrobe needs of South Florida residents. High humidity, frequent travel, resort living, business attire, formal events, and luxury fashion all create garment care challenges that require specialized knowledge and experience. Being part of the local community also allows Sudsies to provide responsive service, personalized relationships, and convenient pickup and delivery routes throughout its service area.
What industries does Sudsies serve?
Although Sudsies is best known for serving individual households, the company also provides professional garment and textile care solutions for a wide range of luxury brands, residential properties, hospitality organizations, and cultural institutions throughout South Florida.
Organizations served include luxury fashion boutiques, luxury residential properties, country clubs, fine dining restaurants, executive offices, property management companies, yacht crews, private aviation professionals, museums, performing arts organizations, and numerous other businesses that require dependable, high-quality garment care. Sudsies also partners with organizations that entrust valuable textiles, uniforms, costumes, and specialty garments to experienced professionals who understand the importance of craftsmanship, presentation, and discretion.
Commercial services are tailored to each organization’s unique operational requirements and may include scheduled pickup and delivery, recurring service, specialized garment handling, wardrobe management support, and customized billing arrangements. Whether serving a boutique hotel, a luxury retailer, or the wardrobe department of a performing arts organization, Sudsies delivers the same commitment to quality, reliability, and personalized service that has defined the company since 1996.
Is Sudsies environmentally responsible?
Yes. Environmental responsibility has long been a fundamental part of Sudsies’ approach to professional garment care. Our goal is to be the eco-friendliest garment care company in the United States while delivering the exceptional cleaning results our guests expect.
Sudsies has invested extensively in modern garment care technologies that reduce environmental impact without compromising cleaning performance. The company does not use perchloroethylene (PERC), a solvent historically associated with traditional dry cleaning. Instead, garments are cleaned using more environmentally responsible processes selected for their cleaning effectiveness, compatibility with delicate fabrics, and reduced environmental footprint.
Sustainability extends well beyond the cleaning process itself. Sudsies maintains a comprehensive hanger recycling program, encourages the reuse of garment bags whenever possible, operates energy-efficient equipment, and continuously evaluates new technologies and operating practices that reduce resource consumption and waste.
In 2011, Sudsies became the first garment care company in Florida to earn the prestigious Five Leaf Certification from the Green Cleaners Council. The company has successfully maintained this certification every year since, reflecting its long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship and continuous improvement.
Sudsies also believes that sustainability includes responsible community engagement. Garments that remain unclaimed after 24 months are thoughtfully upcycled through nonprofit organizations whenever appropriate, extending the useful life of wearable clothing while helping support individuals and families in need. Together, these initiatives reflect Sudsies’ belief that exceptional garment care and environmental responsibility should go hand in hand.
Does Sudsies clean garments on-site?
Yes. Garments entrusted to Sudsies are professionally processed within the company’s own garment care facilities located in North Miami and Fort Lauderdale rather than being routinely outsourced to unrelated third-party cleaners. Maintaining direct control over the cleaning process allows Sudsies to uphold consistent quality standards, closely monitor every garment throughout each stage of care, and ensure that specialized cleaning and finishing instructions are followed precisely.
This level of oversight is especially important when caring for couture garments, delicate fabrics, evening wear, designer fashions, and other luxury textiles that require individualized attention. Every garment is evaluated based on its fabric composition, construction, embellishments, condition, and manufacturer’s care recommendations before an appropriate cleaning method is selected.
In rare circumstances, highly specialized restoration or conservation projects may benefit from collaboration with carefully selected specialists. Examples include certain fur garments, museum-quality textile conservation, wedding gown preservation, and exotic leather restoration. Whenever outside expertise is appropriate, Sudsies remains actively involved throughout the project, maintains quality oversight, and communicates transparently with the guest so they remain informed every step of the way.
Why should I choose Sudsies?
Choosing a garment care provider means placing valuable clothing, treasured textiles, and often irreplaceable memories in someone else’s hands. Since 1996, Sudsies has earned the trust of South Florida guests by combining expert craftsmanship, genuine hospitality, and exceptional convenience into a comprehensive wardrobe care experience.
Every garment receives individualized attention based on its fabric, construction, condition, embellishments, and specific care requirements rather than being processed through a standardized cleaning system. Whether maintaining a professional wardrobe, caring for couture fashion, preserving a wedding gown, restoring a cherished heirloom, or cleaning everyday essentials, Sudsies applies the same uncompromising commitment to quality, precision, and attention to detail.
For guests seeking a long-term partner in garment care rather than simply a place to clean clothes, Sudsies delivers the expertise, reliability, and personalized service needed to help preserve the appearance, longevity, and value of an exceptional wardrobe for years to come.

Service days vary by route and community, and many neighborhoods receive service on multiple days each week. Our Guest Services team can confirm the pickup and delivery schedule for your specific address.
Do I need to be home?
No. In most cases, you do not need to be home. Many guests simply leave their garments in their designated pickup location, such as with a concierge, at a front desk, or in another approved location. Our garment care valets will collect your items and return them according to your delivery instructions. If special access arrangements are required, our Guest Services team will be happy to coordinate them with you.
Can I leave garments outside?
Yes. Many guests choose to leave garments in a secure, pre-approved location for pickup. Common pickup locations include a front porch, concierge desk, garage, mudroom, or another designated area. For security and garment protection, we recommend placing garments inside your Sudsies Magic Yellow Bag whenever possible. If you have unique pickup instructions, they can be added to your account for future visits.
How does the Magic Yellow Bag work?
The Magic Yellow Bag is Sudsies' signature reusable garment collection bag designed to make pickup and delivery simple, secure, and convenient. Place the garments you would like cleaned inside the bag and leave it in your designated pickup location on your scheduled service day. Your garment care valet will collect the bag, transport your garments to our facilities for processing, and return your freshly cleaned items along with your Magic Yellow Bag during your scheduled delivery.
Can I request recurring pickups?
Yes. Guests may establish recurring pickup schedules that fit their lifestyle and wardrobe needs. Many guests enjoy the convenience of weekly or twice-weekly scheduled service, eliminating the need to request each pickup individually. If your schedule changes, Guest Services can modify or suspend your recurring service at any time.
Can I schedule same-day pickup?
No. Sudsies does not offer same-day pickup service. To provide the highest level of reliability and route efficiency, pickups are scheduled according to established service routes throughout South Florida. If you have an urgent request, please contact Guest Services and we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your needs within our existing schedule.
Can I change a scheduled pickup?

We recommend contacting us as soon as possible so we can update your route and avoid unnecessary trips. Our team will gladly help you find the next available service date that works with your schedule.
Can you deliver to a different address?
No. Each Sudsies account is associated with a single pickup and delivery address. This helps ensure accurate routing, consistent service, and efficient scheduling for every guest. If you need service at a different address, please contact Guest Services. Our team will be happy to discuss the available options and recommend the solution that best meets your needs.
What happens if I forget to leave my garments out?
If your garments are not available when your garment care valet arrives, your pickup will simply be skipped for that scheduled visit. There is no penalty or service charge if you forget to leave your garments out. Simply schedule your next pickup or wait for your next recurring service day. If you realize your garments were missed and would like assistance, please contact Guest Services and we will do our best to help.
Can I pause my service?
Yes. If you have recurring pickup service, you may pause it at any time by contacting Guest Services. Whether you are traveling, spending the season at another residence, or simply do not need service for a period of time, we can temporarily suspend your scheduled pickups and resume them whenever you are ready. There are no fees associated with pausing or restarting recurring service.
Boutique Services
Can I visit a Sudsies boutique?
Yes. Guests are always welcome to visit any Sudsies boutique. Our boutiques provide a comfortable and convenient environment where you can drop off or pick up garments, meet with our Guest Services team, discuss garment care concerns, schedule fittings and measurements for alterations, or receive personalized recommendations for caring for your wardrobe. While many guests prefer the convenience of complimentary pickup and delivery, our boutiques remain an important part of the Sudsies experience.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Appointments are not required for boutique visits. Guests are welcome to stop by during regular business hours to drop off or pick up garments, make a payment, or speak with a Guest Services representative. Calling ahead is recommended for certain services, such as bridal gown consultations, extensive alterations, or large wardrobe evaluations, to help ensure the appropriate specialist is available to assist you.
Can I drop off garments myself?
Yes. Guests are welcome to bring garments directly to any Sudsies boutique during normal business hours. Our team will inspect your garments, answer any questions you may have, document special care instructions, and prepare your items for professional processing. Many guests choose boutique drop-off when it is convenient, while others prefer complimentary pickup and delivery.
Can someone else pick up my garments?
Yes. You may authorize another person to pick up your garments on your behalf. For your protection, we may ask the individual to verify account information or present identification before releasing your order. If someone regularly picks up garments for you, please let Guest Services know so we can add a note to your account.
How long are garments held?
Sudsies understands that life gets busy and that travel, seasonal residences, and changing schedules can occasionally delay the pickup of completed orders. For that reason, garments are held for an extended period after cleaning is complete to provide guests with every reasonable opportunity to retrieve them.
If an order remains unclaimed, our Guest Services team begins a series of follow-up reminders using the contact information associated with your account. Reminder notifications are typically sent after 30, 60, and 90 days via email and SMS, and our team will also attempt to contact you by telephone whenever possible.
If, despite these repeated efforts, an order remains unclaimed for one year, the garments are considered abandoned and are handled in accordance with Sudsies’ Terms and Conditions. Whenever appropriate, these garments are donated to charitable organizations, allowing them to benefit members of the community rather than going to waste.
What are your boutique hours?
Boutique hours vary slightly by location and may change for holidays, seasonal schedules, or other special circumstances. We recommend visiting the individual boutique page on our website or contacting Guest Services to confirm the most current hours before your visit.

Do boutiques accept household textiles?

Availability may vary by location, so we recommend contacting your preferred boutique or Guest Services for current availability.
Which boutique should I visit?
All Sudsies boutiques provide the same high standards of hospitality and professional service. The best boutique is generally the one that is most convenient for your home, workplace, or daily routine. Many guests rarely visit a boutique because they take advantage of complimentary pickup and delivery, while others enjoy the convenience of stopping by in person. If you are unsure which boutique is right for you, our Guest Services team will be happy to recommend the location that best serves your area.
Dry Cleaning Basics
What is dry cleaning?
Dry cleaning is a professional garment care process that cleans clothing using specialized liquid solvents instead of water. Despite its name, garments are immersed in a cleaning solution that dissolves oils, grease, and many stains while helping preserve the shape, texture, and appearance of delicate fabrics. Dry cleaning is commonly recommended for garments made from wool, silk, cashmere, structured jackets, suits, evening wear, and many designer garments that could be damaged by conventional washing.
How does dry cleaning work?
Every garment entrusted to Sudsies begins with a thorough inspection. Our garment care specialists evaluate the fabric, construction, embellishments, stains, manufacturer care label, and overall condition before selecting the most appropriate cleaning method. Garments are then professionally cleaned using specialized equipment and cleaning solutions, followed by expert finishing, pressing, hand inspection, and packaging. Throughout the process, each garment receives individualized attention to help ensure the best possible results.
Why is it called dry cleaning?
The term 'dry cleaning' can be misleading because the process actually uses liquid cleaning solutions rather than water. The word 'dry' simply distinguishes the process from traditional laundering, which relies primarily on water and detergent. Since no water is used during the primary cleaning process, fabrics that might shrink, distort, bleed, or lose their shape during washing can often be cleaned more safely through professional dry cleaning.
Is dry cleaning actually dry?
No. Although it is called dry cleaning, garments are cleaned in a liquid solvent rather than remaining dry throughout the process. The name refers to the absence of water during the cleaning cycle, not the absence of liquid altogether. After cleaning, the solvent is safely extracted and recovered, leaving garments clean, dry, and ready for professional finishing.
When should clothing be dry cleaned?
Clothing should be dry cleaned whenever the manufacturer's care label recommends it or when the garment's fabric, construction, or embellishments require professional care. Business suits, sport coats, formalwear, silk garments, wool garments, cashmere sweaters, designer clothing, and structured garments generally benefit from professional dry cleaning. Even if a garment appears clean, body oils, perspiration, and invisible soils can gradually damage fabrics if left untreated for extended periods.
How often should suits be cleaned?
The frequency depends on how often the suit is worn and the conditions under which it is used. Business suits worn regularly are typically professionally cleaned after every three to five wearings, while suits worn occasionally may require cleaning only a few times each year. Cleaning should also be scheduled promptly whenever a suit becomes stained, develops odors, or has been exposed to excessive perspiration. Proper cleaning, combined with routine brushing and adequate resting between wearings, can significantly extend the life of a quality suit.
Can dry cleaning shrink clothing?
Yes, but properly performed professional dry cleaning is specifically designed to minimize the risk of shrinkage. Most shrinkage occurs when garments are exposed to water, heat, or improper drying methods rather than the dry cleaning process itself. Certain natural fibers, unstable fabrics, or improperly manufactured garments may still experience dimensional changes over time. Following the manufacturer's care instructions and using an experienced professional garment care provider helps reduce this risk.
Can dry cleaning damage garments?
When performed correctly by experienced professionals, dry cleaning is one of the safest methods available for many garments. Before cleaning, Sudsies carefully evaluates each garment to determine the most appropriate cleaning method based on its fabric, construction, embellishments, and condition. While every garment carries some inherent risk due to age, previous wear, hidden damage, or manufacturing defects, individualized care and professional inspection help minimize those risks and achieve the best possible outcome.
Is dry cleaning safe for delicate fabrics?
Yes. In fact, many delicate fabrics are specifically designed to be professionally dry cleaned rather than washed at home. Fabrics such as silk, wool, cashmere, velvet, structured lace, and many couture textiles often maintain their appearance, drape, and shape better when cared for professionally. Every delicate garment should be evaluated individually because fabric blends, dyes, trims, and embellishments can influence the safest cleaning method.
What garments should never be dry cleaned?
Some garments should never be dry cleaned because the manufacturer specifically recommends an alternative cleaning method or because the materials may not be compatible with dry cleaning solvents. Certain washable performance fabrics, rubberized materials, foam-backed textiles, some synthetic leathers, and garments containing specialized coatings or adhesives may require alternative care. Always follow the manufacturer's care label and consult a professional garment care specialist whenever you are uncertain about the appropriate cleaning method.
Why do care labels matter?
Care labels provide valuable guidance from the garment manufacturer regarding the safest cleaning method based on the materials, construction techniques, dyes, and trims used to produce the garment. Following these instructions helps reduce the risk of shrinkage, color loss, distortion, or damage. Although professional garment care specialists may occasionally recommend alternative methods based on their expertise and the condition of the garment, the manufacturer's care label remains an important starting point when determining the safest treatment.
How long does dry cleaning take?
The time required depends on the garment, the services requested, and your scheduled pickup and delivery route. Most routine garment care orders are completed within a few business days, while specialty services such as alterations, stain removal, wedding gown preservation, restoration, or couture garment care may require additional time. If you have a specific deadline, please let Guest Services know when placing your order. Our team will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your schedule while ensuring your garments receive the attention they deserve.
Laundry Services
What is Wash & Fold?
Wash & Fold (laundered) is Sudsies' professional laundry service for everyday washable clothing and household laundry. Garments are professionally washed using high-quality detergents, carefully dried according to fabric type, neatly folded, and packaged for convenient return. Wash & Fold is ideal for everyday essentials such as T-shirts, jeans, shorts, pajamas, sundresses, workout clothing, and other washable items that do not require pressing or specialized finishing.
How is wash aand fold different from dry cleaning?
Wash and fold, and dry cleaning are two different garment care processes. Wash and fold uses water, detergent, and controlled washing cycles to clean washable fabrics, while dry cleaning uses specialized cleaning solutions instead of water to safely clean garments that could be damaged by conventional washing. Everyday cotton garments, sheets, towels, and casual clothing are typically laundered, while suits, sport coats, silk garments, wool garments, evening wear, and many designer fashions are generally professionally dry cleaned.
How are shirts laundered?
Each shirt is individually inspected before laundering to identify stains, missing buttons, loose seams, or other concerns. Shirts are professionally washed using fabric-appropriate detergents and water temperatures, then carefully dried, pressed, hand-finished, and inspected before being returned to the guest. Collars, cuffs, and other high-wear areas receive special stain removal attention to help ensure a crisp, professional appearance.
Can I request starch?
Yes. Sudsies offers multiple starch preferences for professionally laundered shirts. Whether you prefer no starch, light starch, medium starch, or heavy starch, your preference can be added to your account or requested for individual garments. If you are unsure which option is best for you, our Guest Services team will be happy to explain the differences.
Can I request no starch?
Yes. Many guests prefer their shirts to be laundered without starch for a softer, more natural feel. Simply let Guest Services know your preference, and it can be noted on your account or requested for individual garments. Your preference will be followed whenever your shirts are professionally laundered.
Can detergent allergies be accommodated?
Yes. Sudsies understands that some guests have sensitivities or allergies to certain laundry products. If you have specific concerns regarding detergents, fragrances, or other laundry products, please notify Guest Services before your garments are processed. Whenever practical, our team will work with you to determine whether an appropriate accommodation can be made.
Are whites washed separately?
Yes. Washable white garments are laundered separately from colored items whenever appropriate to help reduce the risk of color transfer and maintain their brightness. Proper sorting is one of the many steps Sudsies takes to help preserve the appearance and longevity of your wardrobe.
How are delicate items handled?
Delicate washable items receive special attention throughout the laundering process. Fabric type, construction, trim, embellishments, and manufacturer care instructions are carefully evaluated before selecting the most appropriate cleaning method. Some delicate garments may be hand washed, professionally dry cleaned, or processed using specialized equipment to provide the safest possible care.
Can baby clothes be laundered?
Yes. Sudsies is pleased to launder baby clothing, blankets, bibs, burp cloths, and many other washable infant items. Because babies often have sensitive skin, we encourage parents to discuss any special laundering preferences or product sensitivities with Guest Services before processing begins.
Can athletic clothing be washed?
Yes. Athletic clothing can be professionally laundered. Performance fabrics often benefit from proper washing techniques that help remove perspiration, body oils, and odors while protecting moisture-wicking properties and fabric performance. Manufacturer care instructions are always considered before processing athletic apparel.
Can uniforms be laundered?
Yes. Sudsies professionally launders many types of uniforms, including healthcare apparel, hospitality uniforms, culinary uniforms, school uniforms, and business attire. Uniforms are cleaned according to their fabric type and manufacturer care instructions to help maintain a clean, professional appearance while extending garment life.
Can linens be laundered?
Yes. Sudsies professionally launders a wide variety of household linens, including bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, table linens, napkins, and other washable household textiles. Each item is processed using cleaning methods appropriate for its fabric and construction to help ensure exceptional cleanliness, softness, and appearance.
Luxury Garments
Do you clean couture garments?
Yes. Couture garments represent some of the most technically sophisticated clothing ever created, often incorporating hand-sewn construction, delicate embellishments, rare fabrics, and intricate tailoring. Sudsies has extensive experience caring for couture garments from many of the world's leading fashion houses. Every couture piece is individually evaluated before cleaning to determine the safest treatment based on its fabric, construction, age, embellishments, and condition. Our goal is not only to clean the garment but also to preserve its beauty, craftsmanship, and longevity.
How do you clean designer clothing?
Designer clothing deserves individualized care rather than a standardized cleaning process. Every designer garment entrusted to Sudsies is carefully inspected to evaluate its fabric composition, construction techniques, trims, embellishments, dyes, and manufacturer care recommendations. Based on this evaluation, our specialists determine the most appropriate cleaning, finishing, and pressing methods. This careful approach helps preserve the garment's appearance, structure, and value while minimizing unnecessary wear over time.
Can you clean Chanel garments?
Yes. Sudsies has extensive experience caring for Chanel garments, including jackets, dresses, skirts, trousers, coats, and knitwear. How are luxury garments inspected?
Luxury garments receive a comprehensive inspection before any cleaning begins. Our specialists examine the fabric composition, construction techniques, lining, embellishments, buttons, trims, embroidery, closures, existing stains, areas of wear, and the manufacturer's care instructions. This detailed evaluation allows us to determine the safest cleaning, stain removal, finishing, and pressing methods for each individual garment. Because no two luxury garments are exactly alike, every piece is treated according to its unique characteristics rather than processed through a standardized workflow.
Luxury Fabrics
Can silk be dry cleaned?
Yes. In fact, many silk garments are best cared for through professional dry cleaning. Silk is a delicate natural fiber that can lose its luster, shrink, develop water marks, or experience dye migration if washed improperly. Every silk garment entrusted to Sudsies is individually evaluated to determine the safest cleaning method based on its weave, dyes, construction, embellishments, and manufacturer's care recommendations. From everyday blouses to couture evening wear and Hermès silk scarves, our specialists use techniques designed to preserve the fabric's beauty, drape, and longevity.
Can cashmere be cleaned?
Yes. Cashmere should almost always be professionally cleaned to preserve its exceptional softness, shape, and luxurious feel. Because cashmere fibers are extremely fine, improper washing or excessive agitation can lead to shrinkage, distortion, pilling, or loss of softness. Sudsies carefully evaluates each cashmere garment before selecting the most appropriate cleaning and finishing method, helping protect the natural characteristics that make cashmere one of the world's most prized fibers.
Can wool be cleaned?
Yes. Wool garments are excellent candidates for professional dry cleaning. Many wool fabrics can shrink, felt, or lose their shape if washed improperly. Suits, sport coats, trousers, skirts, sweaters, coats, and other wool garments benefit from professional cleaning that helps preserve their structure, texture, and appearance. Every wool garment is evaluated individually to determine the safest treatment based on its construction and fabric composition.
Can linen be cleaned?
Yes. Linen can often be professionally dry cleaned, although some linen garments may also be suitable for laundering depending on the manufacturer's care instructions and the garment's construction. Because linen wrinkles easily and may shrink if improperly washed, professional care helps maintain its shape, appearance, and finish. Sudsies evaluates each linen garment individually to determine the most appropriate cleaning method.
Can velvet be cleaned?
Yes. Velvet can be professionally cleaned, but it requires specialized care. Whether made from silk, cotton, rayon, or synthetic fibers, velvet's distinctive pile can become crushed, distorted, or permanently damaged if handled improperly. Sudsies carefully evaluates each velvet garment before selecting the safest cleaning and finishing process to help preserve its texture, depth, and luxurious appearance.
Can suede be cleaned?
Yes. Suede garments can be professionally cleaned, but they require specialized techniques that differ significantly from traditional garment care. Because suede is created from the underside of animal hide, it is highly susceptible to staining, moisture damage, and changes in texture. Sudsies carefully evaluates each suede garment before cleaning and uses specialized processes designed to preserve its softness, appearance, and natural finish.
Can leather garments be cleaned?
Yes. Sudsies professionally cleans many types of leather garments, including jackets, coats, skirts, trousers, dresses, and specialty apparel. Leather requires highly specialized care because every hide responds differently to cleaning, conditioning, and finishing. Our specialists evaluate the leather type, dye, finish, construction, and overall condition before determining the most appropriate treatment. Certain restoration services may also be available depending on the condition of the garment.
Can lace be cleaned?
Yes. Lace can often be professionally cleaned, although the safest cleaning method depends on the fiber content, construction, age, and condition of the garment. Delicate lace, hand-made lace, and heavily embellished lace garments require particularly careful handling. Sudsies individually evaluates each garment to determine the safest cleaning process while helping preserve the intricate beauty and structural integrity of the lace.
Can chiffon be cleaned?
Yes. Chiffon can be professionally cleaned. Because chiffon is an extremely lightweight fabric that may be woven from silk, polyester, nylon, or other fibers, it requires careful handling throughout the cleaning and finishing process. Sudsies evaluates each chiffon garment individually to determine the safest treatment while protecting its delicate texture, drape, and appearance.
Can satin be cleaned?
Yes. Satin can be professionally cleaned, but the appropriate cleaning method depends on the fiber from which the satin is made. Silk satin, polyester satin, acetate satin, and blended satins each have different care requirements. Because satin can be susceptible to water spotting, snagging, and surface damage, Sudsies carefully evaluates each garment before selecting the safest cleaning and finishing process.
Can tweed be cleaned?
Yes. Tweed garments are well suited for professional dry cleaning. Whether woven from wool or blended fibers, tweed garments often feature structured tailoring and textured weaves that benefit from professional care. Proper cleaning helps preserve the fabric's shape, texture, and appearance while extending the life of jackets, suits, skirts, trousers, and coats made from tweed.
Can sequined garments be cleaned?
Yes. Sequined garments can often be professionally cleaned, but they require exceptional care. Sequins may be attached using specialized threads, adhesives, or embroidery techniques that can be affected by improper cleaning methods. Before cleaning begins, Sudsies carefully evaluates the garment's construction, embellishments, and overall condition to determine the safest treatment. Every sequined garment is processed individually to help preserve both the fabric and its decorative details.
Wedding Gowns
Should my wedding gown be cleaned?
Yes. We strongly recommend having your wedding gown professionally cleaned as soon as possible after your wedding. Many stains caused by champagne, white wine, cake frosting, perspiration, cosmetics, perfume, and body oils may be nearly invisible immediately after the event but can oxidize over time, causing permanent yellowing or discoloration. Prompt professional cleaning helps preserve the beauty of your gown and prepares it for long-term preservation if desired.
What is wedding gown preservation?
Wedding gown preservation is the process of professionally cleaning, carefully inspecting, and packaging a wedding gown for long-term storage. Unlike ordinary storage, preservation is designed to protect the gown from dust, light, environmental contaminants, and premature aging. At Sudsies, every gown is individually evaluated before preservation to determine the safest cleaning methods based on its fabrics, embellishments, lace, construction, and overall condition.
How soon should my gown be cleaned?
Ideally, a wedding gown should be professionally cleaned within a few weeks after the wedding. Prompt cleaning greatly improves the likelihood of successfully removing both visible and invisible stains before they permanently set or oxidize. Even if your gown appears perfectly clean, invisible residues from food, beverages, perspiration, cosmetics, and body oils can cause discoloration over time if left untreated.
Can vintage gowns be restored?
Yes. Many vintage wedding gowns can be successfully restored, although results depend on the gown's age, fabric, construction, storage history, and overall condition. Sudsies carefully evaluates each vintage gown before beginning restoration to determine the safest approach. While some age-related discoloration or damage may be permanent, professional restoration can often significantly improve the gown's appearance while helping preserve its historical and sentimental value.
Can lace wedding gowns be cleaned?
Yes. Lace wedding gowns can be professionally cleaned using methods appropriate for their fiber content, age, construction, and condition. Delicate lace, hand-made lace, and antique lace require especially careful evaluation before cleaning begins. Sudsies individually assesses each gown to determine the safest treatment while preserving the beauty and integrity of its intricate lace details.
Can beaded gowns be cleaned?
Yes. Beaded wedding gowns require specialized professional care because the beads, sequins, crystals, pearls, embroidery, and decorative trims may respond differently to cleaning than the surrounding fabric. Every beaded gown entrusted to Sudsies is carefully inspected before cleaning to evaluate the stability of the embellishments and determine the safest cleaning and finishing methods.
Can yellowed wedding gowns be restored?
Often, yes. Wedding gowns that have yellowed during storage may be excellent candidates for professional restoration. Yellowing is commonly caused by oxidation of invisible stains, improper storage materials, age, or environmental conditions. Although no restoration can guarantee complete reversal of discoloration, Sudsies has successfully restored many gowns that appeared permanently yellowed, significantly improving their appearance whenever the fabric condition allows.
How is a gown preserved?
Following professional cleaning, your wedding gown is carefully inspected, hand finished, and prepared for long-term storage using preservation materials designed to help protect it from dust, light, and environmental contaminants. Every gown is individually prepared based on its fabrics, construction, and embellishments to help minimize unnecessary stress on delicate materials during storage. Proper preservation is intended to help maintain the gown's condition for future generations.
How long does preservation last?
When properly cleaned, preserved, and stored in appropriate environmental conditions, a wedding gown can remain in excellent condition for many decades. The longevity of preservation depends not only on the preservation process itself but also on storage conditions such as temperature, humidity, light exposure, and handling. For the best long-term results, preserved gowns should be stored in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture.
Can preserved gowns be worn again?
Yes. A professionally preserved wedding gown can be removed from its preservation packaging and worn again for anniversaries, vow renewals, family celebrations, or future generations. After being worn, the gown should be professionally cleaned and preserved again before returning to long-term storage to help maintain its condition.
Should veils be preserved?
Yes. Wedding veils should generally be professionally cleaned and preserved along with the wedding gown. Like the gown itself, veils can accumulate invisible residues from cosmetics, hairspray, perspiration, and environmental exposure during the wedding day. Preserving the veil together with the gown helps ensure that both remain in excellent condition as treasured keepsakes for years to come.
Can bridesmaid dresses be cleaned?
Yes. Bridesmaid dresses can be professionally cleaned after the wedding to remove stains, perspiration, cosmetics, and other residues before they become permanent. Professional cleaning also prepares the dress for future wear, resale, donation, or long-term storage. Whether the dress is made from satin, chiffon, silk, velvet, lace, or another specialty fabric, Sudsies carefully evaluates each garment to determine the safest cleaning method.

Yes. Sudsies performs alterations on many types of dresses, including casual dresses, cocktail dresses, evening gowns, business attire, bridesmaid dresses, and wedding gowns. Common alterations include hemming, strap adjustments, waist shaping, sleeve modifications, zipper replacement, and fit adjustments. Every dress is individually evaluated to determine the most appropriate alteration while preserving its original design.
Can suits be tailored?
Yes. Professional suit tailoring is one of Sudsies' specialty services. Our tailors and seamstresses can adjust jacket sleeves, trouser hems, waistbands, jacket suppression, sleeve length, and other fit details to improve both comfort and appearance. Because every suit is constructed differently, each alteration is carefully evaluated to determine the best approach while preserving the garment's original proportions and craftsmanship.
Can jackets be resized?
Yes. Many jackets can be professionally resized or reshaped depending on their construction and the amount of alteration required. Common jacket alterations include sleeve shortening, waist suppression, side seam adjustments, and length modifications. Because jacket construction varies significantly among manufacturers, our tailors will evaluate your garment and explain which alterations are possible before work begins.
Can waistbands be adjusted?
Yes. Waistbands can often be taken in or let out depending on the garment's construction and the amount of available fabric. Waistband adjustments are commonly performed on trousers, skirts, shorts, and certain dresses to improve comfort and fit. During your fitting, our tailors will evaluate the garment and recommend the most appropriate alteration.
Can zippers be replaced?
Yes. Sudsies professionally replaces broken, damaged, or worn zippers on many types of garments, including dresses, trousers, skirts, jackets, coats, and specialty apparel. Whenever practical, we select replacement zippers that closely match the original in size, color, and style to help preserve the garment's appearance.
Can buttons be replaced?
Yes. Missing, broken, or damaged buttons can usually be replaced. If replacement buttons are provided by the guest, our tailors will install them whenever possible. If original buttons are unavailable, we will make every reasonable effort to locate suitable replacements that closely match the garment's existing buttons in appearance, size, and style.
Can torn garments be repaired?
Yes. Many torn garments can be professionally repaired depending on the location, size, fabric, and nature of the damage. Tears along seams, small fabric separations, loose stitching, and similar issues can often be repaired successfully. Before beginning any repair, our tailors will evaluate the garment and explain the expected results so you can make an informed decision.
Can formalwear be altered?
Yes. Sudsies provides alterations for a wide variety of formalwear, including tuxedos, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses, and other special occasion garments. Because formalwear often incorporates delicate fabrics, structured construction, lace, beadwork, or embellishments, every garment is carefully evaluated before alterations begin to help preserve its original design and appearance.
How long do alterations take?
The time required depends on the complexity of the alteration, the type of garment, and our current production schedule. Simple alterations may require only a few days, while complex tailoring, wedding gowns, couture garments, or multiple alterations may require additional time. If you have an upcoming event or deadline, please let us know during your fitting, and we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your schedule.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Appointments are not required for most alteration services, and guests are welcome to visit any Sudsies boutique during regular business hours. Calling ahead is recommended for bridal gown consultations, extensive alterations, couture garments, or multiple-item fittings so we can help ensure the appropriate tailoring specialist is available to assist you.
Stain Removal
Can every stain be removed?
No. Although many stains can be successfully removed, no professional garment care provider can guarantee the complete removal of every stain. The success of stain removal depends on many factors, including the type of stain, the fabric, how long the stain has been present, previous attempts to remove it, exposure to heat, and the garment's dyes and construction. At Sudsies, every stained garment is individually evaluated, and our specialists use the safest and most effective stain removal techniques available while protecting the integrity of the fabric.
What should I do after spilling red wine?
If red wine is spilled on a garment, blot the stain gently with a clean white cloth or paper towel to absorb as much liquid as possible. Do not rub the stain, as rubbing can force it deeper into the fibers. Avoid applying salt, club soda, stain removers, or other home remedies, as these may make professional stain removal more difficult. As soon as possible, bring the garment to Sudsies and let our specialists know what caused the stain and when it occurred.
Can coffee stains be removed?
Yes. Coffee stains can often be successfully removed, particularly when treated promptly. Coffee contains tannins that can bond with fabric fibers over time, making older stains more difficult to remove. Avoid using hot water or household stain removers unless specifically recommended for the fabric. Professional evaluation allows the safest stain removal process to be selected based on the garment's fabric, dyes, and construction.
Can ink stains be removed?
Often, yes. Many ink stains can be significantly reduced or completely removed, but the results depend on the type of ink, the fabric, and whether the stain has been treated previously. Ballpoint ink, permanent marker, fountain pen ink, and printer ink all require different stain removal techniques. Do not apply alcohol, hairspray, or other household products before consulting a professional, as these can sometimes make the stain more difficult to remove.
Can grease stains be removed?
Yes. Grease and oil stains are among the most common stains treated by professional garment care specialists. Cooking oils, butter, salad dressing, cosmetics, lotions, and automotive grease all require different stain removal approaches. Because many grease stains are nearly invisible when they first occur, prompt professional cleaning is recommended before oxidation causes permanent discoloration.
Can makeup stains be removed?
Yes. Most makeup stains can be professionally treated, including stains caused by foundation, lipstick, mascara, blush, concealer, and other cosmetic products. Because cosmetics often contain oils, waxes, pigments, and dyes, they require specialized stain removal techniques. Prompt professional care generally provides the best opportunity for successful removal.
Can blood stains be removed?
Often, yes. Fresh blood stains are generally easier to remove than older stains that have been exposed to heat or allowed to set. If blood is spilled on a garment, avoid using hot water, as heat can permanently set protein-based stains. Instead, bring the garment to Sudsies as soon as possible so our specialists can determine the safest treatment based on the fabric and the age of the stain.
Can deodorant stains be removed?
Yes. Deodorant and antiperspirant stains can often be successfully removed. Over time, perspiration, deodorant ingredients, and body oils may combine to create yellow discoloration or stiff residue, particularly on white garments. Professional cleaning and stain treatment can often restore the garment's appearance, especially when the discoloration is addressed before it becomes permanent.
Can sunscreen stains be removed?
Often, yes. Sunscreen stains have become increasingly common because many modern sunscreen products contain ingredients that can react with minerals in water or with certain fabrics, producing yellow, orange, or rust-colored stains. These stains often require specialized professional treatment and should not be treated with household bleach, which may permanently worsen the discoloration.
Can perfume stains be removed?
Yes. Perfume stains and fragrance-related discoloration can often be treated professionally, although success depends on the ingredients in the fragrance, the fabric, and how long the stain has been present. Some perfumes contain oils, dyes, or alcohols that may discolor delicate fabrics over time. Prompt professional evaluation offers the best opportunity for successful stain removal while protecting the garment.
Should I treat stains myself?
In most cases, no. We generally recommend avoiding household stain removers, bleach, rubbing, excessive water, or internet home remedies before bringing a stained garment to Sudsies. Many do-it-yourself treatments can permanently set stains, damage delicate fabrics, remove dyes, or interfere with professional stain removal techniques. The safest approach is to blot excess material gently, avoid rubbing the stain, and bring the garment to Sudsies as soon as possible for professional evaluation.
Why do some stains become permanent?
Some stains become permanent because they undergo chemical changes over time or because they have been exposed to heat, improper cleaning methods, or unsuitable stain removal products. Substances such as wine, coffee, perspiration, body oils, cosmetics, and food residues can oxidize as they age, making them increasingly difficult—or sometimes impossible—to remove. Prompt professional attention provides the best opportunity for successful stain removal. Even if a stain appears to have disappeared, invisible residues can remain in the fabric and later develop into permanent discoloration if not professionally treated.
Household Textiles
Do you clean comforters?
Yes. Sudsies professionally cleans comforters of many sizes and fabric types, including down, down alternative, cotton, synthetic, and specialty comforters. Can pillows be cleaned?
Yes. Many pillows can be professionally cleaned, including down, feather, synthetic, and decorative pillows. Because not all pillow types are suitable for the same cleaning process, each pillow is evaluated individually before cleaning begins.

Yes. Draperies can be professionally cleaned to help restore their appearance and extend their useful life. Professional care helps remove dust, allergens, and everyday environmental soils while minimizing unnecessary wear.
Can table linens be cleaned?
Yes. Sudsies professionally cleans tablecloths, napkins, placemats, runners, and many other table linens. Whether used for everyday dining or special occasions, professional cleaning helps remove food stains, wine spills, candle wax, and other common soils while preserving the beauty and longevity of fine linens.
Can decorative pillows be cleaned?
Yes. Decorative pillows can often be professionally cleaned. Because decorative pillows vary widely in their fabrics, trims, embellishments, and filling materials, each item is individually evaluated before cleaning. Professional care helps preserve both the decorative fabric and the pillow's overall appearance.
Can slipcovers be cleaned?
Yes. Many furniture slipcovers can be professionally cleaned. Whether made from cotton, linen, synthetic fabrics, or specialty textiles, slipcovers are evaluated individually to determine the safest cleaning method. Professional cleaning helps refresh the fabric, remove accumulated soils, and maintain the appearance of your furniture.
Can outdoor cushions be cleaned?
Yes. Many outdoor cushions can be professionally cleaned depending on their fabric, construction, and condition. Outdoor fabrics are frequently exposed to dirt, pollen, sunscreen, moisture, and environmental contaminants that benefit from professional cleaning. Each cushion is inspected before cleaning to determine the safest treatment based on the manufacturer's recommendations.
Can rugs be cleaned?
Yes. Through Rugsies, Sudsies' dedicated rug care division, we professionally clean area rugs, fine rugs, and many specialty rugs. Professional rug cleaning helps remove embedded soil, allergens, stains, and odors while helping preserve the rug's beauty and longevity.
Can mattress pads be cleaned?
Yes. Mattress pads and mattress protectors can be professionally cleaned depending on their materials and manufacturer's care instructions. Each item is evaluated individually to determine the safest cleaning method.
Leather & Suede
Can leather jackets be cleaned?
Yes. Sudsies professionally cleans leather jackets using specialized cleaning and conditioning techniques designed specifically for leather garments. Because every hide is unique, each jacket is carefully evaluated to determine the appropriate cleaning process based on the leather type, finish, dye, construction, and overall condition. Professional cleaning helps remove accumulated soils while preserving the leather's appearance, texture, and flexibility.
Can suede jackets be cleaned?
Yes. Suede jackets can be professionally cleaned, but they require specialized care that differs significantly from conventional garment cleaning. Suede is particularly susceptible to staining, moisture damage, and changes in texture, making professional evaluation essential. Each suede jacket is individually inspected before cleaning to determine the safest treatment while preserving its natural softness and appearance.
Can leather stains be removed?
Often, yes. Many leather stains can be significantly reduced or completely removed, depending on the type of stain, the age of the stain, the leather finish, and whether previous cleaning attempts have been made. Oil, ink, food, cosmetics, and dye transfer each require different treatment methods. Every stained leather garment is individually evaluated before treatment begins to determine the most appropriate approach.
Can leather be restored?
Yes. Many leather garments can be professionally restored depending on their condition. Restoration services may include professional cleaning, conditioning, color refinishing, minor repairs, and treatment for dryness or fading. The success of restoration depends on the age of the garment, the condition of the leather, and the extent of the damage. Each garment is evaluated individually before restoration is recommended.
Can suede be restored?
Often, yes. Suede garments can frequently be restored when they have become soiled, faded, stiff, or lightly damaged through normal wear. Professional restoration may include specialized cleaning, retexturing, color enhancement, and conditioning designed specifically for suede. Results depend on the condition of the garment and the nature of the damage, but professional treatment can often significantly improve its appearance.
Can leather shrink?
Yes. Leather can shrink if exposed to excessive heat, moisture, or improper cleaning methods. Unlike many fabrics, leather is a natural material that responds differently to environmental conditions and improper care. Professional cleaning helps minimize this risk by using cleaning and conditioning methods specifically designed for leather garments.
Can leather fade?
Yes. Over time, leather may gradually fade due to exposure to sunlight, ultraviolet light, normal wear, environmental conditions, and aging. Dark-colored leathers are particularly susceptible to color loss with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Proper storage, routine professional cleaning, and conditioning can help preserve the leather's original color and appearance.
Can cracked leather be repaired?
Sometimes. Minor cracks caused by dryness or normal aging may often be improved through professional conditioning and restoration techniques. However, severe cracking or structural damage cannot always be completely repaired. Every leather garment is individually evaluated to determine whether restoration is practical and what level of improvement can reasonably be expected.
How should leather be stored?
Leather garments should be stored on wide, well-shaped hangers that properly support the shoulders and help maintain the garment's shape. Store leather in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and high humidity. Avoid storing leather in plastic garment bags, which can trap moisture and restrict airflow. Instead, use a breathable cloth garment bag whenever possible.
How often should leather be cleaned?
Most leather garments benefit from professional cleaning every one to three years, depending on how frequently they are worn and the conditions in which they are used. Jackets worn regularly may require more frequent professional care, while specialty garments worn only occasionally may need cleaning less often. Professional cleaning helps remove accumulated oils, dirt, and environmental contaminants before they permanently affect the leather.
Can leather odors be removed?
Yes. Leather odors caused by smoke, perspiration, storage, or everyday use can often be significantly reduced through professional cleaning and deodorization. Success depends on the source and severity of the odor, as well as how deeply it has penetrated the leather. Every garment is evaluated individually to determine the most appropriate treatment.
Can water-damaged leather be restored?
Often, yes. Water-damaged leather garments can frequently be restored, although the results depend on the extent of the damage, the leather type, and how quickly professional treatment begins. Water exposure can cause staining, stiffness, shrinkage, color changes, or distortion if not properly addressed. Prompt professional evaluation provides the best opportunity for successful restoration.
Restoration
Can smoke-damaged garments be restored?
Often, yes. Smoke-damaged garments can frequently be restored through specialized cleaning and deodorization techniques. Smoke residues contain oils, soot, and odors that require treatment beyond conventional garment cleaning. The success of restoration depends on the type of smoke, the length of exposure, the fabric, and how quickly treatment begins. Every garment is individually evaluated before restoration is recommended.
Can water-damaged garments be restored?
Yes. Many water-damaged garments can be successfully restored if professional treatment begins promptly. Water damage may leave behind stains, odors, mineral deposits, or fabric distortion depending on the source of the water and the length of exposure. Sudsies carefully evaluates each garment to determine the safest restoration process while helping minimize permanent damage.
Can mold damage be treated?
Mold and mildew damage on textiles is often treatable through professional restoration, which focuses on safe removal of contaminants and odor elimination. However, the success varies based on contamination levels and fabric type; each item undergoes individual evaluation to check for potential fiber weakening. Sudsies handles large-scale mold remediation cases with expertise. We supply comprehensive inventory details and line-item accounts specifically designed for insurance claim documentation when textiles are submitted due to mold or mildew damage.
Can heirloom garments be restored?
Yes. Sudsies has extensive experience restoring heirloom garments and textiles with significant sentimental or historical value. Christening gowns, family quilts, military uniforms, vintage wedding gowns, and other treasured textiles are carefully evaluated before restoration begins. Our goal is always to preserve the integrity of the original piece while improving its appearance whenever safely possible.
Can vintage garments be restored?
Yes. Many vintage garments can be professionally restored, although the results depend on their age, construction, storage history, and overall condition. Older fabrics may have weakened over time, making restoration more delicate than conventional garment care. Every vintage garment is individually evaluated to determine what restoration techniques are appropriate and what results can reasonably be expected.
Can yellowed fabrics be restored?
Often, yes. Yellowed fabrics can frequently be improved through professional restoration, particularly when the discoloration has been caused by oxidation, improper storage, or age. Although no restoration process can guarantee complete whitening, many garments respond remarkably well to specialized professional treatment. Every item is evaluated individually before restoration begins.
Can garments damaged in storage be restored?
Yes. Garments that have been damaged during long-term storage can often be restored. Common storage-related problems include yellowing, dust accumulation, odors, mildew, insect activity, and permanent creasing. Professional evaluation allows Sudsies to determine the safest restoration process based on the garment's condition and fabric type.
Can flood damage be repaired?
Often, yes. Garments damaged by flooding may be candidates for restoration if treatment begins as soon as possible after the event. Floodwater can introduce contaminants, odors, stains, and fabric damage that require specialized cleaning procedures. Because every flooding situation is different, each garment is carefully inspected before restoration is recommended.
Can fire damage be repaired?
Sometimes. Fire-damaged garments may often be restored if the structural integrity of the fabric has not been compromised. Restoration typically focuses on removing smoke residues, soot, odors, and discoloration while carefully evaluating any heat damage. Every garment is individually assessed to determine whether restoration is practical and what level of improvement can reasonably be achieved.
Can insect damage be repaired?
Sometimes. Minor insect damage may be repairable depending on the location, size, and extent of the damage. Professional restoration may include cleaning, stabilization, and repair of small holes or weakened areas when appropriate. Extensive fiber loss or structural damage cannot always be completely restored, but our specialists will evaluate every garment and explain the available options.
What garments cannot be restored?
Not every garment can be successfully restored. Severe fire damage, extensive mold deterioration, advanced fabric degradation, permanent dye damage, severe chemical exposure, or garments whose fibers have lost their structural integrity may not be recoverable. Before beginning any restoration project, Sudsies carefully evaluates each garment and provides an honest assessment of the expected results so guests can make an informed decision.
How is restoration different from cleaning?
Professional cleaning is designed to remove everyday soils, stains, body oils, and odors from garments that are otherwise in good condition. Restoration, on the other hand, addresses garments that have experienced unusual damage caused by events such as fire, smoke, flooding, mold, improper storage, aging, or other extraordinary circumstances. Restoration often requires specialized cleaning techniques, careful evaluation, repairs, and additional conservation measures beyond those used in routine garment care.
Garment Care
How should suits be stored?
Suits should be stored on high-quality, wide-shouldered hangers that properly support the jacket and help maintain its natural shape. Store suits in a cool, dry, well-ventilated closet away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity. After wearing, allow the suit to air out for at least 24 hours before returning it to the closet. Regular brushing, proper storage, and periodic professional cleaning will help preserve the suit's appearance and extend its lifespan.
Should I remove garments from plastic bags?
Yes. Plastic garment bags are intended primarily for transporting garments home after professional cleaning and should not be used for long-term storage. Plastic can trap moisture, restrict air circulation, and contribute to yellowing, mildew, or fabric deterioration over time. For long-term storage, remove the plastic covering and use a breathable cloth garment bag whenever possible.
Should I use cedar?
Yes. Cedar is one of the safest and most effective natural deterrents against clothes moths and other fabric pests. Cedar blocks, rings, or sachets may help discourage moth activity while adding a pleasant natural aroma to your closet. Cedar works best when it is periodically refreshed according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Although cedar can help deter pests, it should not be considered a substitute for regular garment inspection and professional cleaning.
How should sweaters be stored?
Sweaters should be folded rather than hung whenever possible. Hanging heavy knitwear can cause the shoulders to stretch and the garment to lose its shape over time. Store sweaters in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, and always ensure they are clean before placing them into seasonal storage. Natural fibers such as wool and cashmere particularly benefit from careful folding and breathable storage containers.
How should formalwear be stored?
Formalwear should be professionally cleaned before being returned to storage, even if it appears clean. Invisible residues from perspiration, body oils, cosmetics, food, and beverages can oxidize over time and cause permanent discoloration or fabric damage. Store formalwear on appropriate hangers inside breathable garment bags in a cool, dry closet away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity.
How should seasonal clothing be stored?
Seasonal clothing should always be professionally cleaned before being placed into long-term storage. Invisible soils left in fabrics can attract insects and become increasingly difficult to remove over time. Store garments in breathable garment bags or acid-free storage containers in a cool, dry environment. Avoid storing clothing in attics, garages, or other areas subject to excessive heat, humidity, or temperature fluctuations.
Can hangers damage garments?
Yes. Improper hangers can permanently distort garments over time. Thin wire hangers may cause shoulder bumps, stretching, and loss of shape, particularly in jackets, coats, dresses, and knitwear. Sudsies recommends using sturdy, wide-shouldered hangers for tailored garments and folding heavier knit garments rather than hanging them. Choosing the proper hanger is one of the simplest ways to extend the life of your wardrobe.
How often should garments be cleaned?
The ideal cleaning frequency depends on the garment, how often it is worn, and the conditions in which it is used. Even garments that appear clean may contain invisible body oils, perspiration, airborne pollutants, and environmental soils that gradually damage fibers over time. Professional garments such as suits and jackets are typically cleaned every few wearings, while formalwear should be cleaned after each event. Prompt cleaning after spills or stains is always recommended.
How can I prevent moth damage?
The best way to prevent moth damage is to store garments clean. Clothes moths are attracted not to the fabric itself, but to perspiration, body oils, food residue, and other organic materials left on clothing. Regular professional cleaning, breathable garment storage, cedar products, periodic closet inspections, and proper air circulation all help reduce the risk of moth infestation. Avoid storing soiled garments for extended periods of time.
Why do garments yellow in storage?
Garments often yellow in storage because invisible residues such as perspiration, body oils, food spills, beverages, cosmetics, and environmental pollutants gradually oxidize over time. Improper storage conditions, excessive heat, humidity, plastic garment bags, and certain packaging materials can accelerate this process. Professional cleaning before storage removes many of these invisible contaminants and significantly reduces the risk of permanent yellowing.
How should silk scarves be stored?
Pure silk scarves should be stored clean, empty (if applicable), and properly supported to help maintain their shape. Whenever possible, use the original dust bag or another breathable fabric storage pouch rather than plastic bags. Stuffing the scarf with acid-free tissue paper can provide gentle support while preventing creasing. Store pure silk scarves in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and heat sources to prevent fading, mold, mildew, and damage.
How should leather and suede be stored to prevent mold and mildew damage?
Leather and suede items require special attention in South Florida's humid climate to prevent mold and mildew damage. Store them clean and dry whenever possible. Keep humidity levels low by using dehumidifiers or air conditioning (AC) units consistently, especially during warmer, humid summer months. Ensure good air circulation around stored items; avoid sealing them in plastic bags as this traps moisture. Use breathable storage options like muslin, cotton dust covers or garment bags when necessary for protection from light and dust. Crucially, store these valuable materials away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and heat damage, and keep them out of excessively hot areas (like attics). If pests are a concern in your area, consider mothproofing measures. Each item should have an individual identification tag to ensure proper tracking throughout cleaning, inspection, finishing, packaging, and delivery if sent for professional care. In summary: • Control Humidity: Use dehumidifiers/AC. • Keep Clean/Dry: Store clean items. • Ensure Airflow: Avoid plastic storage; use breathable covers/bags. • Protect from Light & Heat: Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Sustainability
Is dry cleaning environmentally safe?
Yes. Modern professional garment care is significantly more environmentally responsible than it was decades ago. Advances in cleaning technology, solvent recovery systems, energy-efficient equipment, and responsible operating practices have dramatically reduced the environmental impact of professional garment care. Sudsies continuously invests in technologies and processes that help protect both garments and the environment while delivering exceptional cleaning results.
Does Sudsies use PERC?
No. Sudsies does not use perchloroethylene (PERC), a solvent historically associated with traditional dry cleaning. Instead, we utilize modern, environmentally responsible garment care technologies selected for their cleaning performance, compatibility with delicate fabrics, and reduced environmental impact. Our commitment to safer cleaning methods is part of our long-standing effort to provide exceptional garment care while minimizing our environmental footprint.
Do you recycle hangers?
Yes. Sudsies has operated a hanger recycling program for many years and encourages guests to return reusable hangers during their next pickup or boutique visit. Returned hangers are inspected, sorted, and recycled whenever possible, helping reduce waste and conserve natural resources. Participating in the hanger recycling program is one of the easiest ways guests can support our sustainability efforts.
Can I return garment bags?
Yes. We encourage guests to reuse their Sudsies Magic Yellow Bags for future pickup and delivery service. Reusing garment bags helps reduce waste and supports our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility. If your Magic Yellow Bag becomes damaged or worn through normal use, simply let Guest Services know and we will be happy to provide a replacement.
What cleaning solvents do you use?
Sudsies utilizes modern, environmentally responsible garment care technologies selected for their exceptional cleaning performance and compatibility with delicate fabrics. Because cleaning technologies continue to evolve, we continually evaluate new processes and equipment that improve cleaning performance while reducing environmental impact. Rather than relying on a single solution for every garment, our specialists select the most appropriate cleaning method based on the garment's fabric, construction, and care requirements.
Do you conserve water?
Yes. Water conservation is an important part of Sudsies' environmental commitment. Our facilities utilize modern equipment and operating practices designed to reduce water consumption while maintaining exceptional cleaning performance. We continually evaluate technologies and processes that improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary resource use throughout our operations.
Do you conserve energy?
Yes. Sudsies invests in modern, energy-efficient equipment designed to reduce electricity and natural gas consumption while maintaining the high standards of quality our guests expect. Energy efficiency is considered whenever new equipment is installed or existing systems are upgraded, helping reduce our environmental footprint while improving operational performance.
Do you use biodegradable products?
Yes. Whenever practical, Sudsies utilizes environmentally responsible cleaning products selected for their effectiveness, fabric compatibility, and reduced environmental impact. Because different fabrics and garments require different treatment methods, our specialists select products based on the specific needs of each garment while continually evaluating new technologies and environmentally preferred alternatives.
How do you reduce waste?
Sudsies reduces waste through a variety of sustainable operating practices, including hanger recycling, reuse of Magic Yellow Bags, responsible resource management, energy-efficient equipment, and continuous evaluation of environmentally responsible technologies. In addition, garments that remain unclaimed for one year are donated to charitable organizations whenever appropriate, extending their useful life while benefiting members of the community.
What makes Sudsies environmentally responsible?
Environmental responsibility is integrated into nearly every aspect of Sudsies' operations. From eliminating PERC and investing in modern garment care technologies to operating a hanger recycling program, encouraging the reuse of Magic Yellow Bags, reducing energy and water consumption, and donating eligible unclaimed garments to charity, Sudsies continually seeks opportunities to reduce its environmental impact. Our goal is to be recognized as the eco-friendliest garment care company in the United States while delivering the exceptional quality our guests expect.
What certifications does Sudsies have?
Sudsies was the first garment care company in Florida to earn the prestigious Five Leaf Certification from the Green Cleaners Council in 2011. The company has successfully maintained this certification every year since, demonstrating its long-standing commitment to environmentally responsible garment care, continuous improvement, and sustainable business practices.
How can guests participate?
Guests can support Sudsies' sustainability efforts in many simple ways. Returning wire hangers for recycling, reusing Magic Yellow Bags, bringing garments in for professional cleaning before long-term storage rather than replacing damaged clothing, and caring for garments properly to extend their useful life all help reduce waste and conserve resources. Together, these small actions contribute to a more sustainable approach to garment care.

Quality & Guarantees

Our team will carefully review your concerns, inspect the garment if necessary, and determine the most appropriate solution. Guest satisfaction has been a cornerstone of the Sudsies experience since 1996, and we are committed to resolving concerns promptly, professionally, and fairly.
What if a button is missing?
Every garment is carefully inspected before cleaning, including its buttons, trims, embellishments, and overall condition. Despite these precautions, buttons that are cracked, weakened by age, or previously damaged may occasionally break during normal processing. If this occurs, our team will make every reasonable effort to replace or repair the button using the original button, a spare button provided with the garment, or a closely matching replacement whenever possible.
What if my garment is damaged?
In the unlikely event that your garment is damaged while in our care, please notify Guest Services as soon as possible. We will carefully inspect the garment, review its condition and processing history, and investigate the circumstances thoroughly. If Sudsies determines that we are responsible, the matter will be handled promptly and fairly in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
Do you inspect garments before cleaning?
Yes. Every garment entrusted to Sudsies undergoes a detailed inspection before cleaning begins. Our specialists examine the fabric, construction, care label, stains, existing damage, missing buttons, loose seams, embellishments, and other important characteristics before determining the most appropriate cleaning method. This individualized evaluation helps protect your garments and achieve the best possible cleaning results.
Are garments inspected after cleaning?
Yes. Every garment is inspected again after cleaning and finishing to help ensure it meets Sudsies' quality standards before being returned to the guest. Our post-cleaning inspection verifies the quality of cleaning, pressing, finishing, stain removal, and overall presentation. If additional attention is needed, the garment is returned for further processing before it leaves our facility whenever appropriate.
Do you guarantee stain removal?
No. Because every stain is different, no professional garment care provider can guarantee complete stain removal. Factors such as the type of stain, the fabric, the age of the stain, previous cleaning attempts, exposure to heat, and the garment's dyes all influence the final outcome. Sudsies uses the safest and most effective stain removal techniques available while always placing the long-term preservation of the garment ahead of aggressive stain removal methods that could cause damage.
What if an item is missing?
If you believe an item is missing from your order, please contact Guest Services immediately. Our team will begin a thorough search by reviewing your order history, production records, inspection documentation, and delivery information. Every reasonable effort will be made to locate the item and keep you informed throughout the process.
How are garments identified?
Every garment entrusted to Sudsies receives an individual barcode identification tag that allows it to be tracked throughout the cleaning, inspection, finishing, packaging, and delivery process. This tracking system helps ensure that each garment remains properly associated with the correct guest from the moment it is received until it is returned.
How do you protect embellishments?
Garments with beads, sequins, embroidery, lace, specialty trims, decorative buttons, or other embellishments receive individualized evaluation before cleaning begins. Our specialists carefully inspect these decorative elements to determine the safest cleaning, finishing, and pressing methods. Whenever necessary, additional protective measures are used to help preserve delicate embellishments throughout the garment care process.
How are delicate garments handled?
Delicate garments are never processed using a one-size-fits-all approach. Every garment is individually evaluated based on its fabric, construction, age, embellishments, dyes, and manufacturer's care recommendations before the appropriate cleaning method is selected. This personalized approach helps protect delicate fabrics while achieving the best possible cleaning results.
Can I request special handling?
Yes. Guests are encouraged to share any special handling requests or garment care preferences when dropping off garments or scheduling pickup. Whether you have concerns about stains, pressing preferences, packaging, special occasions, or delicate fabrics, our team will carefully document your instructions and make every reasonable effort to accommodate your request whenever practical.

Travel & Seasonal Care
How should I prepare clothing for travel?
Preparing your wardrobe before traveling can help keep your clothing looking its best throughout your trip. We recommend professionally cleaning garments before packing, inspecting them for missing buttons or needed repairs, and ensuring specialty items such as suits, evening wear, or formal attire are properly pressed. Packing clean garments also reduces the likelihood that invisible stains will become permanent during travel.
Should garments be cleaned before vacation?
Yes. Having garments professionally cleaned before vacation ensures they are fresh, properly pressed, and ready to wear when you arrive at your destination. It also removes invisible body oils, perspiration, and stains that can become more difficult to remove over time, particularly if garments remain packed for an extended period.
How should winter clothing be stored?
Winter clothing should always be professionally cleaned before seasonal storage. Coats, sweaters, scarves, hats, and gloves may appear clean but often contain invisible body oils and food residue that can attract insects and lead to permanent staining. Store winter garments in breathable garment bags or storage containers in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity.
How should summer clothing be stored?
Before storing summer clothing for the season, have garments professionally cleaned to remove sunscreen, perspiration, body oils, salt, chlorine, and other residues that can damage fabrics over time. Store clean garments in a cool, dry, well-ventilated closet using breathable garment bags whenever appropriate.
Can garments be shipped?
Yes. Sudsies Express allows guests who relocate or travel outside our South Florida service area to ship garments directly to our facilities for professional care. Once cleaning is complete, garments are carefully packaged and shipped back to your designated address. Please contact Guest Services for complete shipping instructions and current service availability.
Can I schedule service while traveling?
Yes. If you will be away from home for an extended period, Guest Services can help coordinate your garment care needs. Depending on your circumstances, we may be able to adjust your pickup schedule, temporarily pause recurring service, or recommend Sudsies Express for guests traveling or relocating outside our regular pickup and delivery area.
How should garments be packed?
Pack garments only after they have been professionally cleaned and pressed whenever possible. Fold garments carefully using tissue paper between layers to minimize creasing, and place heavier items at the bottom of your suitcase. Suits, dresses, and formalwear should ideally travel in a garment bag whenever practical. Avoid overpacking, as tightly compressed clothing is more likely to wrinkle.
How do I prevent wrinkles?
While some wrinkling during travel is unavoidable, careful packing can significantly reduce it. Fold garments neatly, avoid overfilling your luggage, and use garment bags for suits, dresses, and formalwear whenever possible. Upon arrival, remove garments from your suitcase promptly and hang them to allow many travel wrinkles to relax naturally before wearing.
What should I clean after returning from a trip?
Travel often exposes clothing to perspiration, sunscreen, cosmetics, food, beverages, salt air, chlorine, smoke, and other contaminants that may not be immediately visible. We recommend professionally cleaning business attire, formalwear, resort wear, outerwear, and any garments exposed to spills or heavy use soon after returning home. Prompt cleaning helps preserve fabrics and prevents invisible residues from becoming permanent stains.
How should ski wear be stored?
Ski wear should be professionally cleaned before seasonal storage to remove perspiration, body oils, dirt, and environmental contaminants that can affect fabric performance over time. Store garments in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, ensuring they are completely clean and dry before storage. Proper care helps preserve waterproof coatings, insulation, and technical fabrics.
How should resort wear be cleaned?
Resort wear should be professionally cleaned after vacation to remove sunscreen, saltwater, chlorine, perspiration, body oils, and food or beverage residues. Lightweight fabrics such as linen, silk, cotton, and specialty blends benefit from prompt professional care, helping preserve their appearance, softness, and longevity.
How should cruise clothing be cared for?
Cruise clothing is frequently exposed to salt air, humidity, sunscreen, perspiration, cosmetics, and food or beverage spills. Professional cleaning after your cruise helps remove these residues before they cause discoloration, odors, or fabric damage. Evening wear, formal attire, resort wear, and specialty garments should be cleaned promptly to maintain their appearance and extend their useful life.
Emergency Care
What should I do after spilling wine?
If you spill wine on a garment, blot the area gently with a clean white cloth or paper towel to absorb as much liquid as possible. Do not rub the stain, as this can force it deeper into the fabric. Avoid using salt, club soda, bleach, or household stain removers, as they may make professional stain removal more difficult. Bring the garment to Sudsies as soon as possible and let us know when and how the spill occurred.
What should I do after getting caught in the rain?
If your garments become wet in the rain, hang them in a well-ventilated area and allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Avoid using a hair dryer, radiator, or clothes dryer, as excessive heat may damage certain fabrics or cause shrinkage. Once dry, have the garment professionally cleaned if it was exposed to dirt, road spray, or prolonged moisture.
What should I do if a zipper breaks?
If a zipper breaks, avoid forcing it open or closed, as this may cause additional damage to the garment. Bring the item to Sudsies for evaluation. In many cases, our tailoring specialists can repair or replace the zipper while preserving the garment's original appearance.
What should I do after a garment tears?
If a garment tears, avoid continuing to wear it or attempting a home repair with glue, tape, or iron-on products. These temporary fixes can complicate professional repairs. Carefully store the garment and bring it to Sudsies for evaluation. Many tears can be professionally repaired depending on the fabric, location, and extent of the damage.
What should I do if a button falls off?
If a button falls off, save the original button whenever possible and place it in a small envelope or bag. Bring both the garment and the button to Sudsies, and our tailoring specialists can usually reattach it. If the original button has been lost, we will make every reasonable effort to locate a suitable replacement.
What should I do after smoke exposure?
If garments have been exposed to smoke, avoid storing them in a closed closet or garment bag, as odors can become more deeply embedded over time. Bring the garments to Sudsies as soon as possible for professional evaluation. Specialized cleaning and deodorization often provide the best opportunity to remove smoke residue and lingering odors. Prompt professional evaluation offers the best chance of successful restoration.
What should I do after flood damage?
If garments have been exposed to floodwater, avoid attempting to wash or dry them yourself. Floodwater may contain contaminants that require specialized handling. Keep the garments separate from other clothing and contact Sudsies as soon as possible. Prompt professional evaluation offers the best chance of successful restoration.
What should I do after mold exposure?
If garments have been exposed to mold or mildew, avoid brushing or shaking them indoors, as this may spread mold spores. Store the affected items separately and bring them to Sudsies for professional evaluation as soon as possible. Early treatment often improves the likelihood of successful restoration.
What should I do if a garment shrinks?
If a garment appears to have shrunk, avoid stretching it or attempting to reshape it at home. The cause may be improper cleaning, excessive heat, fabric instability, or normal fiber relaxation. Bring the garment to Sudsies for evaluation. Depending on the fabric and the extent of the shrinkage, corrective measures may be possible.
What should I do after pet damage?
If a garment has been damaged by a pet through chewing, scratching, stains, or odors, avoid attempting extensive home repairs before professional evaluation. Save any detached buttons, trims, or fabric pieces and bring them with the garment whenever possible. Depending on the type and extent of the damage, professional cleaning, deodorization, or repairs may significantly improve the garment.
What should I do after insect damage?
If you discover insect damage, avoid storing the affected garment with the rest of your wardrobe until it has been professionally evaluated. Insects such as clothes moths and carpet beetles can spread quickly to other natural fiber garments. Sudsies can inspect the garment, recommend appropriate cleaning or repairs, and provide guidance for protecting the remainder of your wardrobe.
When should I contact Sudsies immediately?
You should contact Sudsies immediately whenever a garment has experienced a significant spill, staining, smoke exposure, water damage, mold, fire, insect activity, or other unusual event. Prompt professional attention often makes the difference between complete restoration and permanent damage. In general, the sooner we can evaluate a garment, the greater the likelihood of achieving the best possible result.

Is dry cleaning worth it?
Yes. Professional garment care is often a worthwhile investment, particularly for luxury clothing, tailored garments, couture fashion, wedding gowns, and other high-value pieces. Regular professional cleaning helps remove invisible soils that can damage fabrics over time while preserving fit, appearance, and longevity. Proper garment care can significantly extend the useful life of an exceptional wardrobe.
How often should expensive clothes be cleaned?
The ideal cleaning frequency depends on how often the garment is worn, the fabric, and the conditions in which it is used. Even when expensive garments appear clean, invisible body oils, perspiration, and environmental contaminants gradually accumulate and may damage fibers over time. Regular professional cleaning based on the garment's use helps preserve both its appearance and long-term value.

General Questions
How long will my order take?
The time required depends on the garments, the services requested, and your scheduled pickup and delivery route. Most routine garment care orders are completed within a few business days, while specialty services such as alterations, wedding gown preservation, restoration, or couture garment care may require additional time. If you have a specific deadline, please let Guest Services know when placing your order, and we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your schedule.
Can I rush an order?
Yes. If you have an urgent need, please contact Guest Services before placing your order. While not every garment or service can be expedited, we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your requested completion date whenever possible without compromising the quality of our work.
Can someone else pick up my order?
Yes. You may authorize another person to pick up your completed order. For your protection, we may ask the individual to verify account information or present identification before releasing the garments. If someone regularly picks up orders on your behalf, please let Guest Services know so we can add a note to your account.
What if I lose my claim ticket?
If you lose your claim ticket, there is no need to worry. Because every order is associated with your Sudsies account, our Guest Services team can locate your garments using your account information. For your protection, we may ask you to verify your identity before releasing your order.
Can I recycle hangers?
Yes. Sudsies encourages guests to return reusable wire hangers during their next pickup or boutique visit. Returned hangers are inspected and recycled whenever possible as part of our long-standing commitment to environmental responsibility. Participating in our hanger recycling program is a simple way to help reduce waste.
Do garments come back pressed?
Yes. Garments that require pressing are professionally finished before they are returned to you. Every garment is individually evaluated to determine the most appropriate finishing method based on its fabric, construction, and style. Each item is also inspected after finishing to help ensure it meets Sudsies' quality standards before being returned to the guest.
Can I request hypoallergenic processing?
Possibly. If you have sensitivities or allergies to certain detergents, fragrances, or other laundry products, please notify Guest Services before your garments are processed. Whenever practical, our team will work with you to determine whether an appropriate accommodation can be made based on your specific needs.
What should I do before bringing in stained garments?
If your garment has been stained, avoid rubbing the affected area or applying household stain removers, bleach, or internet home remedies. Instead, gently blot any excess material with a clean white cloth if necessary and bring the garment to Sudsies as soon as possible. If you know what caused the stain, letting us know when you drop off the garment can help our specialists select the most appropriate treatment.
How can I extend the life of my wardrobe?
The best way to extend the life of your wardrobe is through regular professional care and proper storage. Clean garments before storing them for extended periods, use appropriate hangers, avoid long-term storage in plastic garment bags, rotate frequently worn items, and address stains promptly before they become permanent. Routine professional cleaning removes invisible body oils, perspiration, and environmental contaminants that gradually damage fabrics over time.

Needless to say, I was extremely upset. What impressed me was not that a mistake happened, because mistakes can happen anywhere, but how Sudsies handled it afterward. Kerry Glasgow was exceptional throughout the entire process. He communicated with me every step of the way, checked in regularly, followed through on every commitment, and genuinely cared about finding a fair solution. It is rare these days to work with someone who takes so much pride in his job and customer service. In the end, Sudsies repaired the dress so that it is wearable again, refunded the cleaning charges, and provided additional compensation for the loss in value of the garment. Most importantly, they took responsibility and worked hard to make things right. Thank you, Kerry, for your professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication to customer satisfaction.Posted on Google Alexandra KTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
