In 1970, the United States celebrated its first Earth Day. The event was created to raise awareness of the environment and the need for its protection. Today, Earth Day serves as a reminder that we must all do our part to protect our planet.

In honor of Earth Day, Sudsies is reaffirming its commitment to being an eco-friendly company. Sudsies has come a long way in the last 20 years. We have expanded our operations and now have multiple locations throughout South Florida. But we haven’t compromised on our commitment to staying green. We are proud to be a leader in the eco-friendly dry cleaning industry, and we will continue to do everything we can to reduce our impact on the environment.

We have several initiatives that help us achieve this goal, and we are always looking for new ways to improve. Here are four things we are doing to make Sudsies more environmentally friendly:

  1. Using energy-efficient methods. Wet cleaning is the most eco-friendly solution for cleaning your clothes. It uses less energy and resources than dry cleaning and doesn’t produce any toxic waste, making it the preferred method of the Environmental Protection Agency. Our Miele cleaning systems offer a custom experience for every garment.
  2. Using eco-friendly cleaning solutions. Our eco-friendly practices have earned us the distinction of being named the first 5 leaf dry cleaner in Florida by the Green Cleaners Council. Sudsies PERC-free method uses water and specialized detergents. Our EPA-sanctioned process is friendly on fabrics and eliminates hazardous chemicals and toxic waste, making it safe on sensitive skin.
  3. Recycling hangers. Sudsies takes pride in being South Florida’s eco-friendliest dry cleaner, which is why we use reusable hangers. Our hangers are reusable or can be returned to us for recycling. This helps reduce waste and ultimately saves resources.
  4. Reducing emissions. Pick-up and delivery services are not only convenient for customers, but they also help to reduce traffic emissions. By offering this service, Sudsies helps cut down on the number of cars on the road and positively impacts the environment.

We are proud of the impact we’re making but know there’s always more we can do to reduce our carbon footprint. So, we will continue to work hard to make Sudsies the greenest dry cleaners in South Florida. Thank you for supporting us on this journey! And feel free to contact Sudsies online or call us at 305.864.3279 to learn more about our practices.
