From Route 62 to Route Manager: Jorge Lopez’s Sudsies Story
If you ask Jorge Lopez what makes great customer service, he will not talk about speed alone or fancy technology. He will talk about communication, consistency, and keeping customers in control of their garments.
Jorge joined Sudsies close to one year ago after working in luxury hotel environments where service details matter. After completing training in Miami, he was assigned to manage Route 62 in Boca Raton. His days quickly became a mix of logistics, customer interaction, and problem solving.
Jorge’s Signature Customer Service Style
As a route driver, Jorge built a habit that soon became his signature here at Sudsies – something we (and his customers!) appreciate him for. After every order, he wrote detailed messages to customers describing garment condition, recommended services, and available options. He did not move forward with special services without customer permission.
His goal was simple: keep clients informed, keep clients in control, and build trust one order at a time.
Some customers told him they loved the detailed messages. Others eventually asked for fewer messages, not because they were unhappy, but because they trusted him to handle their garments without worry. For Jorge, that was a sign of earned confidence.
Jorge often shares that some of his favorite parts of the job is the people. He loves to tell the story of his Boca customer whose children would press their faces against the glass every time he arrived with a delivery. Jorge would point, the kids would run to grab an adult, and the same cheerful exchange played out every visit. These small moments made the long routes personal.
Problem solving was also part of the daily routine. When Jorge noticed a delicate silk shirt beginning to fray, he chose not to clean it without clear permission. He set it aside and explained the risk to the customer. He wanted to protect the garment, protect the customer’s choice, and protect the trust they had developed.
That mindset is what led Jorge into leadership.
Stepping Into Leadership at Sudsies
We are proud to announce here at Sudsies that earlier this year, Jorge stepped into the role of Route Manager. He now oversees route operations, supports drivers, fills in when coverage is needed, and is training in-store to understand front counter workflows. He is preparing to lead driver meetings that help set service expectations across the team.
At 27, Jorge is the youngest Route Manager at Sudsies. He is also studying data analytics and marketing while working full time. He grew up in South Florida and has worked across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Boca, often returning to buildings he once worked in as a hotel employee and now services as a Sudsies leader.
We are proud to see Jorge continue to grow at Sudsies. And if you see a Sudsies van pulling up to your building, there is a good chance the person behind the wheel has learned a few things from Route 62.
